I’m pleased to tell you that I have been selected to be a regular blogger on Fireside HR.  This blog is the brainchild of Helen Luketic, inspired by Fistful of Talent and other multi-blogger sites.  She has assembled a variety of bloggers and as she puts it, it could go very well, or very, very wrong.  Let’s hope that it’s the former, shall we?

We’ll cover recruiting, leadership, metrics, technology, strategy, employer branding, learning and some random items, too.  I sit in the learning/HR/technology sphere.  Some might scoff and say that’s just insane.  I’ll let you be the judge.  Spark Your Interest (this blog) is geared more towards the learning and technology things, with a smattering of HR.  My posts for the Fireside HR blog will be heavier on the HR side, still focused on learning, but lighter tech. For example, my first entry is called “Serendipity” and I plan to blog in the future about technology, brains (user manual) and how to work with a consultant.  At 40 I’m probably the old fart in the crowd, but likely also the most active blogger.  I’m just a bundle of contradictions, me.

For those of you who are interested in what HR thinks about, talks about, blogs about, you should check us out.  Pull up a chair and come join us by the fireside…
